Milky Way, Bear and Fish

2023 · 100 × 100 × c. 15 cm · Acrylic, oil and mixed media on canvas · Pure White Series

A galaxy built from salvage. Fragments of metal and plastic, folded into cotton and natural fibre papers, form a white topography with no single centre. Two figures surface from it: the partial head of a bear, and a fish that runs through the composition like a spine. As the light moves, the Milky Way seems to shift with it.
