A circular relief dominates the canvas like a suspended celestial body, caught at the moment it comes closest. Eroded folds give the moon a breathing, imperfect skin that carries the marks of time. Black and white set up the only contrast: void and presence, gravity and lightness. The light does not fall on the work so much as rise out of its surface.
